All future software updates will be free. The Android app will be distributed via Google Play for free. I may also be open to providing discounted interface cables for people who can spend time helping me test unsupported models. The initial release will likely have partial support for other models and I'll include the ability for users to send me data that will help add them. I plan on adding more coding options and supporting additional models with new software releases as quickly as possible. It will support reading/clearing error codes, real-time values, and some basic coding like EWS sync/service interval reset. The first release of the app should have full support for all US E36 modules - DME, ABS/ASC, Airbag, EWS, instrument cluster, etc. This is not just another app that communicates with the DME via OBDII - the interface cable & app are capable of communicating with all modules on pre-2008 BMWs that have a 20-pin diagnostic connector under the hood or an ODBII connector. I've been working on an Android app and interface cable that will do much of what INPA/DIS/NCSEXPERT can do without the hassles of stealing software, finding the correct hardware interface, and a PC with a real com1 serial port (for vehicles that require an ADS interface.)
